How to Handle A Breakup
It may be difficult to handle when a relationship is halted by the simple phrase: "I need more space".
Sometimes this word may come its way with little explanation, but the fact still presides that you are left with a sudden change of heart to one of being very upset while countless questions ream your mind and go unanswered. The blending of emotions caused by a breakup make it difficult to think, but that doesn't provide reasoning not to. Here are pointers to help cope and get you back together.
Hold Your Head High
Usually what makes a breakup hard is that you focus on all of the things that happened, and have yourself convinced that it was all your fault. Understand positive aspects to things and know that you are a person who is your own, not fixated upon the will of someone who just let you down. Remind yourself of all of the things that make you happy, such as awards, assets, games, friends who love you and would do anything, and know that the world isn't against you.
Face Reality
At this point you may not be able to fix your relationship, but understand that you need to see this at face-value, and accept that it has happened. Your Ex did what they did for their own reasons, and the sooner that this fact has your acceptance, the better. Don't lose yourself in what you perceive as real, and understand that the past is not where you should look. Look to the future! Why would someone who was walking down the street walk facing the opposite direction of which they were walking?
Simple fact, keep your mind looking ahead.
Let It All Out
Once the pointer noted above (Face Reality) has been done, it is now time to begin the process of healing. Go ahead and give yourself a day for just you, to grieve and get it all out of your system. Limit the grieving to one day, and by doing so, you let out all of the sadness in one day, leaving the days ahead to be bright and full of experience.
Set Goals
Setting goals for yourself is essential; it allows you to perform your actions in a concise manner. Keep note of where you want to be and look to this to motivate you to undergo any task set before you with ease.

Stay Focused
Your feelings that you have after a relationship ends can cause you to try to make excuses. The point being that some fall victim to simply "putting it off till tomorrow" when they feel down, instead of going according to what they had planned. But these feelings should cause you to feel more positive and provide more efforts to improving things, to keep your momentum. Knowing that your choices now will lead to others, and by making the right ones your future will be more clear and concise. So make the correct and mature moves now, and save yourself from trouble later.
